Overall winner： Katie and Daniel Harris， Auckland.
Installed as part of a new-build， this Auckland kitchen was the judges’； favourite for its warm feel and clever use of materials.
“；We just loved the powder-blue grooved cabinets. Katie’；s use of colour and texture felt fresh and modern.”；
Finalist： Hayden and Victoria Lind， Hastings.
This new Hastings home has a modern kitchen designed for maximum enjoyment with friends.
It was the purchase of a table from Freedom that helped them define the look they were after： black and timber.
Finalist： Erica and Colin Wilson， Tauranga.？
The Wilson’；s kitchen and dining space was the final stage in the renovation of their Tauranga art deco home.
With native timber floors running through the space， they wanted something that was simple， so black， white and a Caesarstone bench top were the perfect choices.
Finalist： Ellen and Shaun Baldwin， Cromwell.？
The Baldwin family’；s new kitchen is the heart of their modern new-build in Cromwell， Central Otago.
They wanted something that would be hard-wearing， durable and that would age gracefully. The joinery is birch plywood， the bench tops are stainless steel and white-laminated ply and the flooring is polished concrete.
Finalist： Heath and Sarah Ashton， New Plymouth.？
Heath and Sarah worked with their designer Annika Rowson to create a stylish kitchen on a budget.
To keep the all-white kitchen from being too clinical， they added a tiled splash back， timber-effect detailing and rich brass tapware.
